SUMMARY:Awards Dinner 2026 – Wygston’s House
DESCRIPTION:The Leicester Civic Society is delighted to invite you to its Annual Architectural Awards Dinner\, which this year will be held at the magnificent Wygston’s House Restaurant\, located on Jubilee Square in Leicester city centre. Please save the date: Thursday\, 26 February\, with guests arriving from 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach year\, the Society presents two highly regarded awards: one recognising the best new building in Leicester\, and the other celebrating the finest restoration project completed in the previous year. The Awards Dinner is a highlight of our calendar and an opportunity to celebrate excellence in architecture\, design\, and heritage within the city. \n\n\n\nBelieved to be one of Leicester’s oldest houses\, Wygston’s House is a remarkable medieval\, timber-framed building dating back to the 15th century. Since reopening as a restaurant and bar in March 2017\, it has once again become an important part of the city’s cultural life. Situated in the heart of Leicester’s historic Old Town\, it provides a truly exceptional setting in which to enjoy high-quality cuisine. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe would be pleased if you could join us as we celebrate some of the finest architectural achievements added to Leicester over the past year. Tickets for the three-course dinner are £37.50 for non-members and £33.00 for members. This promises to be a very special evening. The menu for the night is shown below\, and we kindly ask that menu choices – and any special dietary requirements – are provided at the time of booking. \n\n\n\nWhen booking your ticket(s)\, can you please let us know your menu choices by emailing them to rachaelandrewlcs@gmail.com  \n\n\n\nPlease note that numbers are limited\, so early booking is recommended. A raffle will also be held on the evening. There will\, accordingly\, be prizes! \n\n\n\nAccessibility: Please be aware that the dinner will take place on the first floor of the venue and\, regrettably\, there is no lift access. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and confirm that alternative venues were carefully considered. We very much hope you will be able to join us for this memorable occasion
