Our Christmas Walk – Some Leicester Chapels

200 years ago, the role of faith in peoples’ daily lives, and its place in the community, was prominent, with the non-conformist chapels, between them attracting greater congregations that the Church of England.

Join us for a pre-Christmas walk around some of the beautiful non-conformist chapels and churches of the nineteenth century and explore the links between faith, politics and society.

The walk will finish at Bishop Street Methodist Chapel.

Please note the slightly earlier start time than normal. St Stephens have kindly offered to provide us with some refreshments before the start of the walk and the minister Rev Paul Ellis will also be present to answer any further questions.
