Arthur Wakerley and Spinney Hills

When Spinney Hills was fields and clay pits, Arthur Wakerley, architect, developer and prominent local politician, had a vision for developing this new suburb of Leicester with characteristic Victorian vision and efficiency to realise the district of Leicester which still works well now. Come and explore how the area was developed and some of the more prominent buildings in the area.
