Deco, Neo & Moderne – Leicester’s Surprisingly Rich Building Heritage

Starting from the top of Nelson Street at the junction with Upper Nelson Street, we will walk down to and along the length of Charles Street and on to Belgrave Gate learning about some of the very many 20^th century buildings along these two important Leicester thoroughfares.

Many may feel that these two streets are not architecturally interesting but they are!

We are delighted that Mike Taylor, conservation specialist, urban historian and author of the book ‘The Quality of Leicester’ will be leading this walk.

Start at 10.00am from Nelson Street, off London Road.

Finish at approximately 12.00pm outside Kingstone, on Belgrave Gate.
