Welford Road Cemetery – A Gruesome Death
August 9 @ 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Life in the 19th and early 20th centuries was a dangerous business for much of the population.
Industrial accidents and disease were rife. Horrible as these were there were always those who suffered a particularly unpleasant and gruesome death. This guided walk will take you to the graves of some of these unfortunate people.
Please note that you should wear appropriate footwear as we will on occasions be walking over grassy areas within the cemetery.
N.B. This guided walk will cost £6 for members and non-members.

Led by a ‘Friends of Welford Road Cemetery’ tour guide.
Start at 10.30am from the Visitor Centre, Welford Road. LE2 6BF.
Finish at approximately 12.30pm
Refreshments will be available after the walk and a chance to look around the Visitor Centre.
Parking is available within the cemetery. Drive through the main Welford Road gate.
