Leicester Civic Society Members
You are invited to take part in a practical lime mortar workshop at Abbey Park, led by Jason Mordan of Nottinghamshire County Council, on Friday 19 June 2026, from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
This hands-on session will explore the science and heritage of lime mortar, demonstrating how to sensitively re-point historic masonry using traditional tools and techniques. Participants will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience by re-pointing a section of wall under expert guidance.
The workshop is free to attend. Please bring a packed lunch.
