Last month Historic England announced funding for 56 projects nationwide that celebrate working class history. One of the schemes celebrates the 70-year history of Leicester Caribbean Cricket and Social Club. The scheme aims to set up an interactive walking trail with plaques situated at significant places around the city. QR codes on the plaques will link to videos of oral history interviews and historical images. More information about this and other schemes can be found on Historic England’s website.
