Braunstone Gate, Little Holme Street & Narborough Road

18/03/2023 @ 10:30 am 12:30 pm

Led by Peter Kilty, this walk will begin at the Hawthorne Building of De Montfort University, where the Church of the Annunciation once stood and displayed the corpse of Richard III. We will cross a misleading bridge into Braunstone Gate and then Narborough Road going as far as the Robert Hall Memorial Church on Nrborough Road, and the “lighthouse” opposite, where the walk ends. You will hear about a working-class novelist who wrote a book on factory girls, the first woman minister in the country who married Alfred Clarke and Sarah Warwick on 1 July 1905 and the “perfect” crime that ended in murder

£5.00 – £6.00
