Discovering the families and homes of those lost in WWI in the parish of Holy Trinity
Leicester
Join Dr Jenny Wilkinson as she traces the lives of those remembered on the Holy Trinity War Memorial tablet. Starting at Holy Trinity Church, Regent Road Leicester we will explore the local vicinity, discovering the stories of families who lost their sons and daughters during the first world war. Taking in parts of the middle-class Edwardian new town, as well as the less salubrious Victorian terraces we shall consider the various social and economic echelons of Leicester society and how they intermingled within this parish in the early years of the 20th century.
This walk will finish at the Cenotaph, Victoria Park.

Led by Dr Jennifer Wilkinson B.Ed. (CANTAB), MSc, MA, PhD, SFHEA
