Leicester Civic Society AGM and Talk – Richard III’s 1480s Leicester
June 20 @ 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
All members are welcome. Please let us know your intention to attend by emailing info@leicestercivicsociety.org.uk, thank you.
We are once again delighted to be holding our Annual General Meeting upstairs in the old hosiery trading room at the historic Globe public house on Silver Street.
Afterwards there will be a very interesting and something a little different, audio-visual talk given by Tudor re-enactor Alison Coates, also known as ‘Widow Jennyt Grooby’.
Richard III’s 1480s Leicester, a walk though the town back then and a little bit more!
Alison will be wearing late medieval/Tudor style clothing and talk about how it would have been like to walk through Leicester during the 1480’s.

She will greet us in the English language of the period and then continue in modern English.
The talk will run for approximately 90 minutes.
Talk by Alison Coates

AGM Start Time 1pm – Agenda to be published later. All in good time!
Talk Start Time 2pm
Location The Globe public house, Silver Street, LE1 5EU
We look forward to seeing you. Please let us know your intention to attend by emailing info@leicestercivicsociety.org.uk, thank you.
