From Braunstone Hall to Winstanley House

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Awards Dinner will be taking place in the beautiful Winstanley House, Leicester’s number-one boutique hotel. If you haven’t visited before you will be in for a huge treat. A chance to experience classical British cooking using the very best ingredients.

It is only fitting that we have chosen Winstanley House for our event. Built in 1775 the Winstanley family occupied Braunstone Hall for 150 years before it served as a school from 1932 until its closure in 1996. It then fell into sad decline before the historic building was expertly restored by the current owners. It has the feel of a perfect refurbishment, retaining the character and elegance of a stately home while now all set up to serve the contemporary needs required of a top-notch modern venue.

An Arrival Drink- A glass of Prosecco/non-alcoholic option.

Starters

Leek and potato soup, chive crème fraiche with a bread roll (V, VGa, GFa).

or

Warm tart of goat’s cheese and sundried tomatoes, pine nuts with honey dressing (V, GFa, N).

Mains

Roast chicken, dauphinoise potato, pancetta and kale with Bordelaise sauce (GF).

or

Grilled pork loin, thyme roast potatoes and fine beans with cider jus (GF).

or

Beetroot wellington, garlic roast potatoes and fine beans with onion gravy (VG, GFa).

Dessert

Apple crumble tart, cinnamon custard and blackberry compote (V).

Tea and Coffee served to the tables.

All for £30/£38 per head (all dietary requirements will be catered for).
