On Saturday 30 September Safe Streets Now held a national day of action between 11 am and 12 pm. In Leicester, this took place at the junction of Narbourough Road and Braunstone Gate on the site where two young children were tragically killed in 2012 after being hit by a speeding car. At midday, we joined other groups across the UK in a minute’s silence for those killed and injured on our roads. The movement has been set up to counter the rise in anti-social and aggressive driving, particularly in residential areas.
